Major Dhyan Chand Sports University Holds Academic and Activities Council Meeting
A meeting of the Academic and Activities Council of Major Dhyan Chand State Sports University, Meerut was held on January 10 to deliberate on important policy decisions aimed at strengthening the university’s academic structure, curriculum framework, and institutional preparedness.

The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Major General Deep Ahlawat (VSM, Retd.), an Arjuna Award recipient. The proceedings were conducted by the Registrar of the university, Mr. Sunil Kumar Jha, who also serves as the Member Secretary of the Council.
During the meeting, the Council discussed and approved several key agenda items related to the academic and institutional framework of the university. These included the appointment of guest faculty and faculty on deputation, the constitution of the Board of Studies, the engagement of experienced academic consultants for curriculum and syllabus development, approval of proposed schools, departments, and academic programmes (degree, diploma, and certificate courses), determination of the scope of work for academic consultancy agencies, and approval of the academic and sports calendar.
The Council also reviewed the progress of ongoing construction activities at the university, assessed the academic and administrative preparations, and deliberated on the proposed positions and appointments required for the smooth conduct of the upcoming academic sessions.
