EXHIBITION DAY

The Exhibition Day at Major Dhyan Chand Sports University was successfully organized on 20th April 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their creativity, practical knowledge, and understanding of various subjects related to sports science and human anatomy.

The program commenced with a formal welcome session. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Satyant Kumar, Dean Academics, who warmly greeted the Honourable Vice Chancellor, respected faculty members, and students. In his address, he emphasized the importance of such exhibitions in enhancing students’ practical learning, creativity, and confidence. He appreciated the hard work and dedication of the students and teachers in preparing the projects and encouraged everyone to actively participate and learn from the experience.

Following this, Dr. Poonam Bhandari formally welcomed the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Maj. Gen. Deep Ahlawat (VSM, Retd.), by presenting a bouquet as a token of respect and honour. She also extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished faculty members, including Dr. Farha Hashmi, Mr. Shivansh Pal, Mr. Sidharth Sagre, Ms. Shrija Singh, Dr. Soniya Rana, and other administrative staff, whose presence added dignity to the occasion.

After the welcome ceremony, the Honourable Vice Chancellor inaugurated the exhibition and began visiting the various project displays prepared by students. Each student or group confidently presented their project, explaining its aim, objectives, and relevance in detail. The exhibition featured a wide variety of informative and creative projects.

Some of the major projects included a tribute to the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand, highlighting his immense contribution to Indian sports. Other projects focused on the importance of physical fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Students also presented detailed models of the skeletal system, muscular system, and nervous system, which demonstrated their understanding of human anatomy.

Additionally, there were projects explaining types of joints and types of levers used in the human body, which are essential concepts in sports science. Students also showcased projects on sports periodization, explaining training cycles and performance improvement techniques. Informative models on the digestive system and excretory system were also displayed, helping to explain important biological processes.

Creative presentations were made on the significance of the Olympic Games symbol, especially the Olympic rings and their meaning. Some students also presented projects on laser therapy and its application in injury treatment and rehabilitation in sports. Another interesting topic was the selection of suitable running shoes for athletes, which highlighted the importance of proper equipment in sports performance and injury prevention.

The Honourable Vice Chancellor observed all the projects with great interest and interacted with the students. He appreciated their confidence, knowledge, and presentation skills. He also praised the teachers for their continuous guidance and efforts in making the exhibition a success.

During his interaction, the Vice Chancellor shared motivating thoughts with the students. He spoke about the importance of hard work, punctuality, discipline, and sincerity in achieving success. He also addressed the students as the first batch of the university and emphasized their responsibility in

building the reputation and future of the institution. His inspiring words left a positive impact on all present.

After the project presentations and interaction session, Prof. Satyant Kumar delivered the Vote of Thanks. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Vice Chancellor for his valuable presence, encouragement, and guidance. He also thanked all faculty members, guest faculty, administrative staff, and students for their dedication and contribution in making the event successful.

The event concluded on a pleasant note with refreshments being distributed among students and staff. It provided an opportunity for everyone to relax and interact informally after the successful completion of the program.
